2010 What a Ride!
As 2010 draws to a close,
it is time to reflect on what a great year it has been for
EXCA and our sport, Extreme Cowboy Racing. 2010 was a year
of growth: We had 103 sanctioned events, a 39% increase
over 2009; there were 48 EXCA Clubs compared to 23 in 2009;
our neighboring country to the north, Canada, joined EXCA
and became the 17th EXCA Region; the 2010 World
Championship had 140 contestants, a 36 % increase over 2009.
While reflecting on the
2010 season and enjoying the memories, the time has come to
be moving forward for the 2011 season. The EXCA Rulebook
has had some modifications and revisions that will help
refine our great sport. The 2011 schedule is now on the
website. Be sure to renew your EXCA Club so your events can
be included on the schedule as soon as possible!
We have extended the deadline to renew your EXCA Membership until
January 31st and get the discounted rate of
$55.00, a savings of $10.

Exciting
News for 2011!
We are excited
and proud to announce that the 2011 EXCA World Championship
will be held November 4 -6, 2011 at the famous Lazy E
Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma! The Lazy E is proud of the fact
that they are the largest indoor rodeo facility in the
world. The indoor arena is 440 feet long and 160 feet
wide. In addition to the indoor arena, the Lazy E has the
option for us to hold a portion of the 2011 EXCA World
Championship outside on their property if weather is
cooperative. That will truly be an eleventh hour decision
based on the weather forecast.
We are
currently finalizing arrangements with host hotels and will
let you know the details on rates and reservations in the
next issue of Brave Horse.
Be sure to
take a look at their website,
www.lazye.com and you will see why we are excited and
proud to be going to the Lazy E!

Happy Holidays to each of you! Keep riding hard and stay safe this
